These pans are great! I purchase these pans through www.bakerhobby.com and made a chocolate cherry cake. It turned out amazing!! Did you know it really depends on how your pans look because sometimes when your pans are old and rusty that your cakes turn out sticking to the pan. So, take a look at the website because right now you can get free shipping. My recipe is from my grandmothers cook book that was made by her church. It calls for
2 eggs, beaten
Choclate Fudge Cake Mix (which I just used a regular cake mix)
1 (21-oz) can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
Mix by hand cake mix, pie filling, beaten eggs, and extract. Stir until well blended. Batter will be thick and lumpy. Bake in 9x13 inch pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool Slightly; then pour glaze over cake.
Glaze:
3/4c. sugar
5 T. margarine
1/3c. evaporated milk
1c. milk chocolate chips
3/4c. chopped pecans (opt.)
Combine sugar, margarine and evaporated milk in saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 45 seconds. Add milk chocolate chips and nuts, if desired. Beat slightly and pour glaze over cake. Spread evenly.
This is so good and I even added some marchino cherries on top.
